LOCAR is a two-sided rental marketplace that connects car owners with renters across Kuwait. We designed and built the entire experience — from search and listings to bookings and payouts.
Background
The founders had a clear vision but no engineering team. We ran a 4-week MVP sprint to ship a polished mobile-first experience with verified listings, in-app messaging, and Stripe payouts to vendors.
Challenges
Trust was the hardest problem to solve in a marketplace from day one. We designed verification flows, dispute handling, and a transparent rating system from scratch — and made all of it feel native on mobile.
Outcome
LOCAR launched with 80+ vetted listings and processed bookings within the first week. The product became the founders' calling card during their seed round.
